What is a CSA

Community Supported Agriculture, most commonly known as a CSA, has become a very popular way to get healthy local foods and support your local farm economy at the same time.

Interested consumers purchase a share, or membership, and in return receive a bag of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. The Tomāto Tomäto Spring/Summer CSA will begin May 6th and continue for 15 weeks. Signups will begin Feb.1 for existing members. We will then have the fall CSA starting September 3rd and will continue for 12 weeks. Signups will begin June 15th for existing members. This will secure you with fresh produce for over half the year.

Farm Fresh Foods selected just for you.

Tomāto Tomäto has partnered with multiple farms to be able to offer products grown and produced just for this CSA. The goods will be harvested and packaged exclusively for the CSA members. Each week you will receive not only wonderful produce, but suggestions from the vendors on how best to prepare the goods you receive.

Support your local economy

By purchasing a “share” in the CSA you are securing income for some of the local farmers and producers. They can then use this income to buy local goods as well. A CSA is a wonderful way to keep local dollars local.

Don’t just go to “the market” be a part of it.

Upon your first pick up you will receive two reusable bags. Each week you will come to Tomāto Tomäto or chosen location, to pick up your weekly goods. However, you won’t be there to just shop, you will be there to pick up your reward for supporting your local farms. Your reserved CSA bag will be waiting for you. You will hand us the empty bag and take home the full one.

  • Payment guarantees your place in the CSA
  • Product must be picked up during the designated time for your location. Failure to pick at the designated time will result in the forfeiture of your bag for that week.
  • If you will not be making it that week and cannot make other arrangements for your bag, just give us a call and we will donate the bag to the food pantry.
