Recipe for Crock-Pot Swiss Steak:
Ingredients:
- 3 lb. Hollenbeck Farms Minute Steak
- 1 onion (sliced)
- ¼ to ½ cup of flour
- Salt and pepper
- 2 carrots (chopped)
- 2 celery stalks (chopped)
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 15 oz. can dice tomatoes
- Worcestershire sauce (opt.)
- Brown sugar (opt.)
Instructions:
Place sliced onion on bottom of crock-pot. Mix flour, salt and pepper in a gallon size storage bag. Add steak pieces and shake until coated. Place in crock-pot. Top with carrots, celery, and diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. (I like to add the Worcestershire and brown sugar for a sweeter taste.) Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
