French Dip Sandwiches

Recipe for French Dip Sandwiches:

Ingredients:

  • 3 lb. Hollenbeck Farms Roast
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 pkg. Au Jus mix
  • 1-2 cups Italian Salad Dressing
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • Sliced provolone cheese
  • Hoagie buns

Instructions:

Put onion, salt, and pepper over frozen roast in crock-pot on low 18 hours. Take roast out and shred. Strain the remaining contents, saving the juice and disposing the rest. Put roast back into the crock-pot. Mix juice, Au Jus, dressing, and broth. Pour over shredded roast and continue to heat in crock-pot a few hours. When ready to serve, toast the hoagies a bit under broiler. Place shredded beef and a slice of provolone cheese on the top. Melt cheese. Offer a ramekin of juice for dipping.
